GENERAL QUESTIONS

  • Soundscapes Zanzi will take place at Bwejuu, Zanzibar, Tanzania. The exact location can be found by searching "Soundscapes Zanzi" on Google Maps.

  • Dates are 15 June - 19 June 2024. The music stages will run from:
    Saturday at 2pm - sunrise

    Sunday at 2pm - sunrise

    Monday 2pm - sunrise

    Tuesday 2pm - sunrise

    Tuesday will also include an after party on site at the Oasis Stage.

  • With a Festival Ticket customers have access to the main festival site. Camping is not allowed at the festival site.

  • Tickets are on sale on the Soundscapes Zanzi official website: https://www.soundscapes.me/event-details/zanzi-4

  • Day tickets will be available for sale soon. A day ticket will allow customers access to the site, only on one given day of the customer's choice. 

LOCATION

  • A visa is required to enter Zanzibar. For most countries, you can purchase your visa on arrival, or apply online for $50 to skip the line at the airport.

    Some countries require an invite-visa, and require a local agent in Zanzibar to support the application (countries such as Lebanon, Palestine, etc). Please check the list of countries below.

  • Abeid Amani Karume International Airport is the nearest airport and the main airport on Zanzibar island. The airport is 1.15hrs from the festival site.

  • Journey times are approximately: 1.15hrs. These times may vary slightly either way depending on traffic circumstances. Taxis are available at the airport and taxis are widely available on the island.

  • The best way to get to the site is with the Soundscapes dedicated shuttle service, taxi, or by walking.

  • A parking lot is available for use at the entrance of the festival, however car pooling or using a taxi is advised as the parking lot can get full early. 

  • Yes, we have a dedicated Taxi stand at the festival operating 24/7.

INSIDE THE FESTIVAL

  • We've introduced a cashless system at the festival, where cash is added to your wristband, and used at the bars, food and vendor stalls. You can top up your wristband at the cash top up stations, cash and credit card is accepted. 

  • For the safety of our customers and staff, security conducts bag searches upon entry. Anyone found to be carrying illicit items will have them confiscated and may be removed from the festival and handed over to the police where necessary.

     

    Please do not attempt to bring any of the following items inside the event: fireworks, laser pens, flares, alcohol, illicit drugs, legal highs (including nitrous oxide), animals (with the exception of guide dogs) or anything that could be considered an offensive weapon.

  • All disabled customers are welcome at Soundscapes. Please bear in mind that the site will have some areas with terrain that may make access challenging.

  • Any lost property that has been handed in will be held at the Haven Station. Please ask at the entrance to the site.

  • There are no lockers on site, please keep your belongings on you at all times.

  • There are no ATMs on site or nearby. The closest ATM is in Paje roundabout.

  • The official currency of Zanzibar is the Tanzanian Shilling. USD is also widely accepted.

  • On-site at the festival there are several options in “Shanti Town” which is open from breakfast till late. We offer a variety of food and beverage options to pick from.

  • Please help us look after Zanzibar and our festival by following these simple rules:

    - Please take care of your own litter via the bins provided.

    - Dispose of your cigarette butts responsibly, do not use the sea or the beach as an ashtray.

    - Help us to keep the beach clean at all times, if you take everything with you, it will stay as nature intended, leave no trace.

    - Please use the toilets on-site rather than any public spaces.

    - Behave respectfully at the festival site and the local village, we are guests in this area.
